Capstone is a commercial real estate investment sales brokerage firm with an exclusive focus on the multi-family sector. The Associate Broker with Capstone will work directly with the partners, investment advisors, and production support staff in various aspects of day-to-day operations, and become heavily involved in various firm projects and client deliverables.

This is a unique opportunity to grow in the commercial real estate industry and learn the business from the best of the best. The position will report directly to the partners of the firm. This role will require responsive, knowledgeable, and analytical support and organization to all brokerage projects; such as cold calling, asset valuation and due diligence, market research and data aggregation, asset valuation underwriting, and technical writing to report findings in a professional format to be presentable in client deliverables. Additionally, the Associate Broker will support brokerage transactions in facilitating the exchange of due diligence materials, scheduling of site tours and inspections, and various other transactional needs. Depending upon performance, there are opportunities to move into a sales role with potentially higher compensation.

Requirements


  • Familiarity with real estate industry required – commercial preferred
  • Finance and/or business education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial underwriting
  • Desire to potentially transition into brokerage commission-based role
  • Experience coordinating real estate transactions
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and work with teams
  • Ability to create captivating original written content
  • Exhibits professionalism, drive, and eagerness to learn

Core Duties & Responsibilities


  • Asset and market data collection, research, and analysis
  • Outside sales: cold-calling, prospecting, and ability to close the deal
  • Asset cash flow underwriting and Pro Forma forecasting with factually-based assumptions
  • Create text, analytical, and graphical content to be included in various client deliverables
  • Research and write high level industry narratives about multi-family market conditions, economic circumstances, specific assets and their respective attributes, city/region highlights and trends, and various other client and firm deliverables
  • Assist with internal firm projects, including (but not limited to) e-presence and branding, data management, client distributions, and overall organization and scheduling
  • Coordinate brokerage transaction needs, including (but not limited to) site visit scheduling, information exchange, client needs, and overall transaction management
  • Attend firm meetings, and assist with preparation for client meetings and deliverables
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, and be timely and reliable with the agreed upon work schedule
  • Support all brokers in on-going transactional needs, client relations, and business development

Educational & Experience Requirements


  • Finance or similar caliber business degree; MBA preferred, but not required
  • Prior real estate experience
  • Extensive education and/or experience in finance fundamentals as well as modeling cash flows and general return metrics
  • 2-3 years of previous work experience in a professional work office environment preferred
  • The ability to respond quickly and deliver high quality deliverables to various professionals
  • Expert creative and technical writing ability and experience
  • The ability to maintain a high level of organization and independently manage your daily schedule to address the needs of various simultaneous projects while consistently delivering timely deliverables of the highest quality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Familiarity with CRM software preferred, but must have willingness to learn new software
  • Eagerness to learn, and drive and enthusiasm for the real estate industry
  • High sense of work ethic, reliability, and a desire to develop and take on additional roles and responsibilities with a growing company

Capstone AP provides various services to owners and investors of multi-family properties throughout the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, including: property management (2,500 units); disposition brokerage (2,500-3,500 units sold annually); representation for new property acquisitions; due diligence consulting; valuation analysis; investment capital sourcing; and accounting and asset management of firm-owned and managed properties (1,500 units). The Marketing Coordinator with Capstone AP will work directly with the partners and investment advisors of the firm in all aspects of day-to-day operations, and become involved in various firm projects and client deliverables. This role will require responsive, knowledgeable, creative, and analytical support and organization to all brokerage projects. Typical daily duties include designing and content editing of client deliverables; market research and data aggregation; drafting both technical and creative writing excerpts; and completing basic office tasks. 

Requirements


  • College Degree: preferably in Graphic Design, Journalism, English, or Marketing and/or 3-5 Years related work experience
  • Intermediate skills with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign Required, Photoshop Preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Skillful Technical and Creative Writer with Understanding of Basic Grammar
  • Flexible and Efficient in Fast-Paced Environment

  • Create and edit firm marketing materials and marketing campaigns for client listings and firm initiatives (all created in Adobe InDesign)
  • Assist with market data collection, research, and analysis
  • Write high level industry narratives about housing market conditions, economic conditions, specific assets and their respective attributes, city/region highlights and trends, and various other client and firm deliverables
  • Maintain ongoing firm marketing forums, including the firm website, social media marketing, and mass email and mailing materials
  • Assist with internal firm projects, including, but not limited to, e-presence and branding, data management, client distributions, and overall organization and scheduling
  • Attend firm meetings, and assist with preparation for client meetings and deliverables
  • Assist with firm database management and content updating
  • Support all brokers in on-going transactional needs, client relations, and business development
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, and be timely and reliable with the agreed upon work schedule
